Dr. Béla Zsolt Szakács is the Head of the Department of Art History of the Pázmány Péter Catholic University and associate professor of the Department of Medieval Studies at CEU. He holds an MA in Art History and History (University of Budapest, 1992) and CSc (PhD) in Art History (Hungarian Academy of Sciences, 1998). His major research fields include medieval architecture, codex illumination and Christian iconography. He is an editor of Guide to Visual Resources of Medieval East-Central Europe (2001) and the author of the monography on the Hungarian Angevin Legendary (Hungarian edition in 2006).
Project:
Currently he is working on the updated English edition of the monography in the framework of the project.
