CULTSYMBOLS Project at International Medieval Congress, Leeds 2011

CULTSYMBOLS Project at IMC in Leeds 2011

Many participants of the project took part in the International Medieval Congress in Leeds on 10-14th July 2011: several researchers presented their papers in the sessions organized or coorganized by the project teams (see the list of sessions here; some papers are/will be available to the project members in the section Research Materials); some others were present too and contributed to fruitful discussion.
The present project members held a planning meeting where we discussed future plans, including the project’s participation at the congresses in Kalamazoo and Leeds in 2012, and Kalamazoo 2013. The next planning meeting will be held on the occasion of the EuroCORECODE workshop in Budapest on Monday, 28 November 2011. Next year’s project meeting will take place in connection with the conference with the working title "Saints' Cults and the Dynamics of Regional Cohesion", coorganized with Hagiotheca, Croatian Hagiography Society (namely Ana Marinković and Trpimir Vedriš from Zagreb and CEU, Budapest), in Dubrovnik in Autumn 2012.
The Leeds Congress was a successful event for the project: we presented our project to the academic public, disseminated the partial results of our work, and used the opportunity for the pleasant and fruitful meeting of the project members.
